2024 Recipient: Eileen Leow - The Eye Care Center of Wausau

Eileen Loew

Eyecare Center of Wausau

Eileen has been a dedicated and valued member of the Eyecare Center of Wausau since 2012. Committed, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable, she has mastered nearly every role in our office and currently serves as our insurance specialist. With a lifelong career in Optometry that began with an Ophthalmic Technician program near Chicago, Eileen has held her CPO certification and worked in various settings—from travel roles to vision therapy—before joining our clinic.

Known affectionately as “YODA,” Eileen is a go-to resource for her deep Optometry knowledge. She has trained countless staff and consistently puts patients first with her calm, kind, and expert care. Her passion for learning and mentoring has made a lasting impact on our team and community.

Now 65 and approaching retirement, we believe this is the perfect time to honor her decades of service and commitment to the field. Outside of work, Eileen enjoys time with her family, church, cooking, the outdoors, and traveling with her husband.

We are deeply grateful for all she has contributed and appreciate the shining example she represents to our profession.
